Meet activist & comic book writer Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez!

Did you miss your chance at meeting acclaimed comic book writer, artist, and activist; Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, back in June? Well, you are in luck! Miranda-Rodriguez is hosting a book signing at Amalgam Comics & Coffeehouse, Thursday, August 2 from 5:30-7: 30 p.m. This is a free event and is for comic book fans of all ages.

Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez is the creator of La Borinqueña; an original character and patriotic symbol presented in a classic superhero story. Her powers are drawn from history and mysticism found on the island of Puerto Rico. When she isn’t being a superhero; she’s Marisol Rios De La Luz, a college student, a daughter, and a scientist. You can pick up issue #2 at the book signing!

He also created, Ricanstruction; a graphic novel, with the proceeds going to rebuild Puerto Rico. In Ricanstruction, La Borinqueña, teams up with iconic DC heroes and villains to help out the island, after the hurricane. Ricanstruction will also be available during the signing.

This Thursday, meet Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez at Amalgam for a La Borinqueña book signing from 5:30-7: 30 p.m.
