“Thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live.”
Emilia Clarke is proving to be the breaker of hearts not the breaker of chains after taking to her Instagram to properly say goodbye to Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons and Game of Thrones.
Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #💔#lastseasonitis.
Clarke’s Game of Thrones costars left sweet comments on the photo shortly after it was posted:
Lena Headey wrote: “Sweet words. Love you and HOLLY balls. #itistheend”
While Khal Drogo aka Jason Momoa wrote: “Love u. Proud of you.”
And now let’s take a wee moment to ugly cry…
…I really have no f*!king clue what my life is going to be like without Game of Thrones. Whoa! Like, really what will I do? That is a question for 2019, am I right?
Though Emilia maybe saying goodbye to Game of Thrones just because Dany has wrapped does not mean that the production has stopped on the final season. This goodbye is only the beginning. Game of Thrones is filming the final season out of sequence (trying to avoid any leaks) so just because Dany is done doesn’t mean she doesn’t make it as long as other characters. The rumor is that filming will wrap at August.
Emilia is not the only Game of Thrones cast member paying tribute to her time on the show, just last week Sophia Turner got a new tattoo that has a special meaning to the Stark family.
As the cast says goodbye to their characters let’s not forget that the gang will get back together to promote the final season in 2019. So we can all hold on to at least that until then.
Thanks for hopping on that boat.
Game of Thrones returns in 2019.
