Netflix has revealed their starring cast for the comic book adaptation of The Umbrella Academy. The comic series was created by My Chemical Romance singer, Gerard Way, and Gabriel Bá. The series is set to follow the first storyline from the book that followed the adoptive family of superheroes reunited in the wake of their father’s death.

The Umbrella Academy is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2018. Let’s meet the cast below!

Tom Hopper has landed the lead role of Luther Hargreeves also known as Spaceboy. He’s the strongest member of the team who also ended up getting his transplanted on top of a gorilla’s body to save his life.

Resident bad boy, Diego Hargreeves, will be played by David Castańeda Jr. He’s the rebel of his siblings and is known as Kraken. His power is the ability to hold his breath hence the name Kraken. Well, the breath and his vigilante justice.

Liar, liar, pants on fire, Allison Hargreeves will be portrayed by Emmy Raver-Lampman. Allison is the Rumor and she can change reality just by lying. So that’s why she carries around a pad of paper and a pen to convey her thoughts rather than accidentally say the wrong thing.

Hello, Klaus! Or better known as The Seance. Robert Sheehan will be taking on this character that has the ability to talk to the dead. But he’s pretty sure he’ll never die so he’s a drug addict.

Aidan Gallagher will be Number Five, also known as the Boy. So-called named for his frozen appearance of appearing like a thirteen-year-old. The Boy has the ability to travel through time and is also one of the deadliest assassins.

And Ellen Page, who had previously been announced, will be playing Vanya Hargreeves. Vanya is the only member of her adoptive family without superpowers. Well, it doesn’t stay that way forever as she is destined to become the White Violin and be more powerful than her family combined.

Are you excited for this adaptation?
