Dumbledore is Coming For You Grindelwald – ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ Reveals Sequel Title

Warner Bros gave fans of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them something to tide them over until the sequel comes out; a cast photo and the name of the sequel.

So most of that photo looks beautiful and magical. Except for Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald. But we’re going to see a whole lot of him so buckle up as this movie is all about The Crimes of Grindelwald. According to the Warner Bros press release, Grindelwald “has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.”

Who can stop this from happening? None other than Albus Dumbledore played by the dashing Jude Law. He recruits his former student Newt Scamander to help him track down and fight Grindelwald, his former lover. To be honest, I don’t know what Dumbledore sees in Grindelwald but I guess love is blind?

Dumbledore isn’t the only one dealing with love problems. Newcomers to the cast, Zoe Kravitz, and Callum Turner, play couple Leta LeStrange and Theseus Scamander, also known as the woman that broke Newt’s heart and Newt’s older brother. Poor Newt. He’ll be dealing with a love triangle that’s tipped heavily on the bad side as Leta shares a family name with the infamous Bellatrix.

Returning to the story despite becoming an Obscurial (that big black cloud monster) is Credence (Ezra Miller). I thought he was a goner, or maybe I was just hoping it but it seems they are dragging him back to make Tina and Newt sad for not helping him? Next to him in the cast photo is the newcomer, Claudia Kim as Maledictus, a main attraction at a magical zoo. She is “the carrier of a blood curse that destines her ultimately to transform into a beast.” She sounds like a werewolf.

Speaking of magical creatures, it seems that Newt has finally released his book!

Yay, Newt!

Let’s not forget that Queenie and Jacob Kowalski are returning! I really hope they can get together in this movie. They are adorable.

This movie is the first in a planned four-movie sequel to Fantastic Beasts.
