Oh we will be seeing you next year Ron, oh we will…

After a wee bit of a bumpy road, the Untitled Han Solo Star Wars film is wrapping up production and heading into post. Ron Howard took some time to thank fans via social media today and in a cheeky bit revealed the title of the film…

So we are going with Solo: A Star Wars Story, well that was a bit anti-climatic…

I think Flying Solo or Solo Han Solo were great ideas that clearly Lucasfilm did not take advantage of…WHATEVER!

Solo stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Woody Harrelson, Michael K. Williams, Ian Kenny and Emilia Clarke. The film will take place prior to the events of A New Hope – somewhat same timeline as Rogue One – and follow Han Solo roughly from the years of 18-24 as he becomes “the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley in A New Hope.”

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters in May 2018!
