Zac Efron is Becoming Serial Killer Ted Bundy in the Film ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’

In all of the pop culture news I’ve come across today, I have to say that this surprised me the most. Zac Efron, the adonis that emerged from teen heartthrobs to become the goofy hot guy, is now adding “I can’t believe I think this serial killer is hot” to his resume. Efron has landed the role of infamous American serial killer, Ted Bundy, in the movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

Yeah, that’s an annoying title and I hope they change it before the movie gets released. But let’s get to the bread and butter of this story. Michael Werwie wrote the script and based it off of Bundy’s long time girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. She spent years denying that her boyfriend would do such heinous acts as murdering young women, raping them, and necrophilia. Sometimes love is a little too blind. But she eventually wisened up and was the one to turn Bundy into the police and help stop his reign of grizzly crimes.

A lot of people deem Ted Bundy as a good looking man, which probably helped Zac Efron land the role. Maybe it’s all of the murderings he did, but I don’t see the attraction. I just want to point out how weird it is that this is another Disney Channel star taking on the dark role of a frigging serial killer! My Friend Dahmer is an upcoming movie based on the serial killer and cannibal, Jeffrey Dahmer, who is being portrayed by Disney Channel star Ross Lynch.

Is there something in the Disney water coolers that pushes their stars to portray real-world sadistic characters? Should we expect more movies about real serial killers to start being made and star former Disney stars?

Don’t get me wrong, I love true crime. Shout out to my fellow murderinos! I’m just wondering if we should all start to worry about Disney Channel stars. Who knows what they are truly capable of!

Should we start making guesses of what Disney Channel stars could play serial killers?
