Star Wars we love you and so does everyone that attended SWCO and those of us that just watched our news feeds…

Star Wars Celebration kicked off with celebrating 40 years of Star Wars welcoming the original cast with special guest Billie Lourd who payed tribute to her mother, Carrie Fisher, by rocking a Princess Leia themed dress and recites Leia’s New Hope monologue.

If that was not enough for you to cry, watch the simply beautiful tribute video Star Wars put together for Fisher — warning you WILL need tissues!

Though it has been reported that Last Jedi will be the last time Leia Organa appears in the saga and her death in December 2016 did not effect the production. It seems that Leia could appear in Episode IX because the Fisher family has given Disney permission to use already captured footage of Carrie. Now this means that their will be NO CGI Leia (which thank god) but could mean that Disney is saving Last Jedi footage for Episode IX. Listen I want our Princess turned General to get a proper send off but I want it to be organic and not cheesy, so we will see!

Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker honored his “space sis” with his own panel celebrating Leia and Fisher. Hamill began his panel by stating:

Well, here’s a panel I was hoping wouldn’t come for another 30 years. Someone once wrote when someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. And here today, we’re here to celebrate the treasure that was Carrie Frances Fishe

You can watch the FULL panel below…

Than on Friday the world literally stopped to watch the first trailer for The Last Jedi, in case you some how missed it check it out below!

So this is like kind of a big deal…bada$$ Rey could save the world becoming the balance between the light and dark side? I mean that is what we are all thinking right? In addition the trailer the first official poster for the film and first I thought it was too in our face with the whole balance theme but I have grown to love it.

Here are some quick take aways from SWCO:

  • The Last Jedi planet, Crait, will be added to Star Tours: The Adventure Continues at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Targeted for young-readers IDW Comics is slated to release Star Wars Adventures an on-going series spanning the decades from all the films. The series will be released Fall 2017.
  •  Captain Phasma is getting her own limited comic book series which will tell the tale of the events happening between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. The first of four comics will be released in September.
  • It was also revealed at SWCO that the upcoming fourth season of Star Wars Rebels will be the last one! You can check out the trailer below…

Well, I am sure we missed something but that is a pretty damn good wrap up of SWCO!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters this December and May the Force Be With You!
