Well, we’ve finally got our first full, polished look at the Justice League movie and it’s … full of people.
Warner Bros. dropped the first official trailer for the movie this morning, giving a much flashier look at the hero team-up film than we’ve gotten previously. There’s a lot going on here, but at the same time — we don’t really learn anything new.
We do get to meet a bunch of new characters and get to check out some new footage of the heroes in action, though.
Among our newcomers are first looks at Aquaman’s wife, Mera (Amber Heard), Barry Allen’s wife Henry Allen, who it seems will be behind bars, serving time for killing his wife when Barry was a kid, and Commissioner Jim Gordon (J.K. Simmons).
The big moment of the movie, of course, is that when Ben Affleck’s Batman says they need to be prepared for an “attack that’s coming from far away,” Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) corrects him, saying that “it’s already here.”
We know from the end of Batman v. Superman that the big bad will be Steppenwolf, one of the New Gods from Darkseid’s world, Apokolips. Batman v. Superman also gave us a look at a potential future involving parademons, also from Apokolips, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of the nightmares of that world.
Justice League also stars Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Ezra Miller (The Flash). It hits theaters on November 17th.
