Hollywood drama has nothing on royal drama!
So Ryan Murphy’s new FX mini anthology series, FEUD, has not even aired yet and the network has already picked up the series for a second season. And of course Murphy already knows what feud he will tackle next and it won’t be pretty…
FEUD: Charles and Diana is slated for a 2018 release and the 10 episode series will tell the overly dramatic tale of the separation and later divorce of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Of course Murphy’s timing is perfect due to the fact that Lady Di will be a topic this year as we remember her 20 years after her tragic death in 1997.
No word on who will play the royal couple and other players in the drama that was Charles and Diana. But I am SUPER interested in seeing this cast. Since Murphy’s previous mini-series have racked up awards the star power he is able to get is unbelievable though I am not sure if Sarah Paulson is ready to be Diana — I think he may have to actually get a Brit.
As much as I love a good drama, I am a Scottish Lady and am royally obsessed individual and I am not sure how I feel about opening the wounds of the divorce of Charles of Diana. Sure the story has EVERYTHING a good over the top series should have — money, love, lust, betrayal — but Diana left behind a family who is currently very much in the spotlight with two very adorable royal children.
Plus I am not sure if you really want to be messing with Queen Elizabeth but hey Murphy is following the lead of The Crown and Victoria I guess.
FEUD: Charles and Diana will be written by Murphy and Jon Robin Baitz and will hit FX in 2018.
