A brief summary of what went down in this week’s episode of Bob’s Burgers, “There’s No Business Like Mr. Business Business.” So this episode of Bob’s Burgers was no where near as exciting as last week’s “Bob Actually” but hey a new Bob’s is better than no Bob’s. It is also always great to throw Gayle into the Belcher mix. This time Gayle – and Linda – have given a lot of money to Ian (James Oliver) a pet model agent, who thinks Gayle’s cat – Mr. Business – could be a star. The cat food brand, Chef Cat, is looking for a new cat to replace the old model and Mr. Business looks just like the predecessor!
Though, Mr. Business’ model career is costing Bob a pretty penny – since Gayle just keeps borrowing money from the Belchers for like forever – so of course he decides pay Ian a visit. Bob tries to get his money back from Ian since clearly this whole thing is a scheme but then Bob gets a look at the former Chef Cat and learns that the official Chef Cat makes up to 40k a year. So deal Bob all in cause Gayle won’t be borrowing money anymore!
Now all Belchers are on Team Mr. Business, the only problem is that Mr. Business does not take direction very well and Ian quits being his agent. Though Bob is not willing to give up so easy cause hello 40k! Now Bob is the cat whisperer even though he is highly allergic to cats.
Oh side note: Tina, Gene, and Linda all eat Chef Cat as a snack, yes it is weird!
Any who, it is the day of the audition and Gayle notices how unhappy Mr. Business! Even after a pep talk from Bob – Gayle, Mr. Business, and Bob all agree that fame is not worth a miserable Mr. Business. So it looks like Gayle will just keep borrowing money from the Belchers!
And now, the Extra-Rare Performer of the Week is: Bob The Cat Lover
It is sometimes hard to believe that Bob is the only “normal” person in the Belcher family but in this episode he gets sucked into the crazy. Though he may have had jaded objectives going into the training of Mr. Business there was passion there.
The best part of this episode was Bob’s one on ones with Mr. Business proving that he is more than just a man with a spatula. In the end though Bob is able to do what is right for Mr. Business and Gayle.
Until next time, stay fresh Bob’s Burgers fans!
