Stranger Things has added more bodies for the Upside Down to use as Demagorgon baby incubators. Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink are Billy and Max. According to an interview with EW previously, the Duffer brothers said there would be four new characters so this means we’re half way there.
You might recognize Montgomery from all of the Power Rangers movie promotions. He’s playing Billy.
“Billy, Max’s hyper-confident, and edgy older step-brother. He steals girlfriends away from their boyfriends, is great at drinking games, and drives a black Camaro. But lurking under his apparent charisma, is a violent and unpredictable nature.”
I’m assuming Billy will be making the moves on Nancy since Barb is definitely not coming back from the dead. So that means three guys will be into Nancy. Geesh, give her some time to mourn Barb! Oh wait, she got over that real fast.
Sink will play Max.
“Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era. She has a complicated history and is generally suspicious of those around her.”
The Duffer brothers seem to have a thing for tomboy characters. Is Max meant to replace the Eleven shaped hole in the group? Because no one can replace Eleven.
In addition to this news, Joe Keery (Steven Harrington) and Noah Schnaap (Will Byers) have been updated to series regulars which actually seems weird that they weren’t in the first place. They were pretty much in every episode.
Stranger Things 2 will come to Netflix in 2017.
