You can say that I’m a fan of Supergiant games after playing two wonderful projects of theirs; Bastion and Transistor. This year at PAX East they’re gracing us with their new project called Pyre.

This is the third game being made by Supergiant Games. The elements you’ve come to know and love from Supergiant Games are ever-present in this trailer: a beautiful art style, interesting gameplay and wonderfully catchy and soulful soundtrack.

Three exiles must act as of one mind during the Rites.

Pyre is a party-based role-playing game, which is a different direction for the company, at least in comparison to their first two games. You’ll lead a band of exiles through an ancient competition spread across a vast, mystical purgatory. The team brings in a rich atmosphere and a large cast of characters you can grow together as you journey through their beautiful landscapes.

The Story So Far: At the beginning of the game, your luck has almost run out when several masked wanderers find you and revive you from the brink. With your help, they seek to learn the truth about the Rites, a secretive competition through which the worthiest exiles can return home, absolved of their transgressions. As you journey across the Downside in the wanderers’ custom blackwagon, you’ll meet a variety of characters of all shapes and sizes, and learn what’s in store for each of them should they prevail in the Rites. Your actions will determine who returns to glory, and who remains in exile to the end of their days.

Pyre is coming to Steam and Playstation 4 in 2017.

Christian Rivera

Christian Rivera

Long ago in a land covered in Dragonball Z websites there was a pile of rubble amidst a destroyed cityscape. The pile shook and the ashes rose from the ground slowly then suddenly beams of light arose from the mound of rock and debris. Christian Rivera then bursted out of this cement cage with fire of a thousand suns, yelling for no apparent reason but somehow it made him stronger. He kept yelling, incessantly, actually, until someone said "Hey, hey, calm down!" and so he did. When the dust settled he began his career as a writer, designer and producer with a mostly okay power level.
