Benedict Cumberbatch will be taking on the role of Marvel’s spell-casting superhero, Doctor Strange. That’s according to a recent report from Deadline which puts the Sherlock actor in final negotiations for the role.

Cumberbatch’s name has been batted around by the media as a possible choice for Strange ever since talks with Joaquin Phoenix reportedly went south back in July.

Cumberbatch is best know as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series Sherlock, but has also seen feature film turns in movies like The Fifth Estate, Star Trek Into Darkness and this November’s The Imitation Game.

So, what do you think of the casting choice?
