Kickstarter Project Eternity becomes Pillars of Eternity, Gets 1st Gameplay Trailer

One of the highest money-raising Kickstarters of all time, Project Eternity, has finally been given its true name: Pillars of Eternity.

Myself along with a little under 74,000 other people back in October 2012 funded a Kickstarter called Project Eternity by Obsidian Entertainment. This project ended with one of the highest raised video game Kickstarters ending a few thousand shy of $4 million. Obsidian has been very good about updating its backers on the progress of their project and with the trailer above comes the greatest gift of all.

The trailer shows live gameplay with the heroes you will play as and the enemies that you will encounter in this classic isometric style RPG. The trailer also gives us a live look at how combat plays out in melee, ranged, and magic forms. The game looks absolutely stunning and true to their word on what they want to deliver with that old school Baldurs Gate feel. Now the game has obtained more backers and money via PayPal (sadly could not obtain numbers on that), so the est. 74,000 backers and est. $4 million dollars has absolutely grown in number. You yourself if you like what you see can be apart of the experience of this game and jump on board early and pre-order the game from Obsidian here.

Play it, read it, make it, etc I love things that will make others call you a geek. My personal passion however is anything and everything to do with Video Games. Been playing them since I was a wee little lad and been hooked ever since. I'm excited to be writing about them now and hope to give you all great things to read.
