Advance Reviews: Image Comics Releases for 10-17-12

The Activity #9 could be up your alley if you are a fan of more realistic comics. It is about a military team called Team Omaha that is in Somalia to help a British SAS team snatch and grab a British national while disguised as a news crew. Of course plans don’t go perfectly as planned.

It’s not my cup of tea but I can’t find any faults with the story so like I said, pick it up if you want to read a comic that involves real world situations.

Story: Nathan Edmondson     Art: Mitch Gerads

Savage Dragon #182…I’m not exactly sure what I just read. Instead of writing a review, I’m just going to beg someone out there to explain the appeal of this character and series to me.

Please?

Story: Erik Larsen     Art: Josh Eichorn

Shinku #5 is like Blood + meets Kill Bill. It’s full of action and blood. But I would recommend picking up the other issues because you will be a little lost in the story.

Story: Ron Marz   Art: Lee Moder

The Walking Dead #103 is a new beginning for the series just in time for season 3 of the television series. So if you’re not a fan of Rick Grimes (I think he’s awesome but everyone has their own opinion…) start reading the series at this point!

Zombies + Comics = Awesome.

Story: Robert Kirkman      Art: Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn

The rest of the comics out this week by Image Comics:

  • Chew #29
  • Cyber Force #1
  • The Darkness #107
  • Glory #29
  • It Girl & The Atomics #3
  • No Place Like Home #5
