‘Arrested Development’ Wants You! – Netflix Announces Casting Contest
Even though it was cancelled way back in 2006, Arrested Development has managed to maintain a captive, cult audience ever since. In fact, last year, Netflix announced that it was buying the rights to the hit series, and bringing it back through their streaming service.
Now, as part of that endeavor, the company has announced that it will be holding a contest in which six fans will be awarded walk-on roles in the upcoming season of the show. To enter, all fans need to do is create an original piece of Arrested Development content. It can be a video (no longer than 2 minutes), a photo, a piece of artwork … and they can be submitted through Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr with the hashtag #BluthWalkOn.
In an interview with THR, creator Mitch Hurwitz said, “The Bluths have walked on so many people we thought it was only fair to let a few fans walk on them. Come see behind-the-scenes and for God’s sake, please don’t touch anything!”
The contest was announced via a video from series star Michael Cera.
