Universal Studios Gets a ‘Walking Dead’ Makeover
The Walking Dead will be terrifying visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood in California this fall, as the part prepares to open up its traditional “Halloween Horror Nights.”
There will be two zombie filled attractions at the park this year, including a Walking Dead infected Terror Tram, which takes visitors through the historic Universal backlot, the birthplace of the American Horror Film. “The juxtaposition of the backlot’s rural setting amid a small town devastated by a horrific plane wreckage complements the TV series’ sets almost to a tee and provides the ideal backdrop to showcase the walkers from AMC’s The Walking Dead on a grand scale,” said Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy said in a statement to THR.
They will also be including a Walker infested zombie maze.
The Walking Dead is the first television show to be featured in the theme park. Halloween Horror Nights runs certain nights between Sept. 21 and Oct. 31.
Season 3 of the hit show will premiere Oct. 14.
